Valkyrie Company was a company in the 7th Shock Troops Battalion of the UNSC Orbital Drop Shock Troopers that participated in many important battles, including the Battle of Reach and the Battle of Installation 00. After the war, its commanding officer was Captain James O'Neill, supported by 1st Lieutenant Dennis Cook and Sergeant Major Peter Markov. Beginning in 2556, it was attached to Task Force Everest.

History

Early Years and Insurrection

V Company, 7th Shock Troops Battalion, was formed along with the rest of the battalion in 2522 during the height of the Insurrection. Created to fight against the URF in Operation: TREBUCHET, the company wouldn't see action until 2523. Its original commanding officer, Captain Linda Haig, enjoyed Norse mythology, and thus gave the company the callsign "Valkyrie".
