Welcome, Underlord1271, to Halo Fanon: the wiki where you can write fan-made article(s) about the popular Halo series! Just follow these 3 basic rules and you will be guaranteed to be successful on this wiki!

Rule #1: Follow Canon! — What is Canon? By definition, it is the body of works considered genuine or official within a fictional universe. For example, Bungie and 343 Industries have officially stated that there were only twelve Halos. So, face the facts and try not to be stupid enough to create another Halo, otherwise it may be tagged and namespaced.

Rule #2: Mark Your Property! — Whenever you make an article, it is appropriate that you label your property with: {{Writer|Underlord1271}} at the top of the article. If at some point you have not finished that article, just insert {{Under Construction}} to notify other users that it is not complete.

Rule #3: Sign Your Name! — Whenever you place a comment on a talk page, please sign in your name, insert the —~~~~ at the bottom of your comment. When you press the "Save Page" button, Halo Fanon will automatically convert the —~~~~ to your username along with the time and date you posted. If you still have any problem on this method, just insert this alternative signature:
—{{Name|Underlord1271}} ~~~~~.

For more information on creating an article, visit the Halo Fanon Guide Manual.

Visit the rule page for the full list of rules and policies on Halo Fanon (link in the slider below). Note that other users will point out when you are breaking rules, so it is strongly recommended that you read them before you begin writing.

G'day Underlord, and welcome to Halo Fanon. I would just like to let you know that I've identified that your articles has a few problems that bring it into conflict with our site's Canon Policy, which can cause a few policies to kick in if not fixed. I've made a list of issues and solutions on Michael-127's talk page, as well as a couple of ideas of what you could incorporate. Hope you find it helpful.

Response about your various questions

G'day Underlord. Those are all fair reasons: most of us are on here for the same reasons. I honestly think that some of the concepts you brought up are interesting, which is why I ask that you try and reconsider just looking back and adding a sentence each to address those concerns. Regardless...

There are two ways we can take this, depending on how you feel about the article. You can request its deletion via the Delete template, at which point it's just a matter of someone on the administration team coming around to delete it. However, I can also move it into your namespace, where it will still be available for you to work on. The catch is that no-one can find it unless they specifically know its title. If you want the latter option, just rename it as 'User:Underlord1271/Michael-127', or shoot me a return message and I can do it.

As for your query about AUs, we used to allow them, but we have since restricted them to one-off novels and stories because of some abuse in the past. So for the purpose of articles, no, we do not allow AUs.

Addendum: Just got your other reply, and checked out Michael's page. I don't see anything rule-breaking on it anymore, so you're fine to do nothing regarding it. As for the Covenant species: no, the Covenant fringe introduced the concept that the Empire held dominion over a number of other species, but had not yet been considered official citizens. Actually, depending on how you word it, even another fully-fledged client race would be allowed. Especially if they're like the Drinol and the UNSC simply didn't have any living encounters with them during the Human-Covenant War.

I need to clarify: the Canon Policy is only there to keep things consistent with what has already been established. So it isn't considered an AU where you create, say, a new Covenant remnant or Insurrectionist faction we haven't heard of yet. Just thought I had to clarify it so you didn't get the wrong idea.

I'll check those out later, but I've just been a bit busy to check them out lately. Should have a response up for them in the week however.

For future reference, any discussions regarding NCF articles should be discussed on the associated talk page page.

New Tyne is the only settlement on a planet of 10.9 million people. It is a city of potentially hundreds of thousands, even millions of people. And 8 people capture it. And having a large paramilitary force doesn't explain how he is able to improve on what is by your own article, cutting edge UNSC tech, while on an outer colony with limited access to supplies?

Please associate yourself with the NCF and canon rules on the wiki, and go over what has been said on the talk page previously.
