Welcome, Rtoro Vadum, to Halo Fanon: the wiki where you can write fan-made article(s) about the popular Halo series! Just follow these 3 basic rules and you will be guaranteed to be successful on this wiki!

Rule #1: Follow Canon! — What is Canon? By definition, it is the body of works considered genuine or official within a fictional universe. For example, Bungie and 343 Industries have officially stated that there were only twelve Halos. So, face the facts and try not to be stupid enough to create another Halo, otherwise it may be tagged and namespaced.

Rule #2: Mark Your Property! — Whenever you make an article, it is appropriate that you label your property with: {{Writer|Rtoro Vadum}} at the top of the article. If at some point you have not finished that article, just insert {{Under Construction}} to notify other users that it is not complete.

Rule #3: Sign Your Name! — Whenever you place a comment on a talk page, please sign in your name, insert the —~~~~ at the bottom of your comment. When you press the "Save Page" button, Halo Fanon will automatically convert the —~~~~ to your username along with the time and date you posted. If you still have any problem on this method, just insert this alternative signature:
—{{Name|Rtoro Vadum}} ~~~~~.

For more information on creating an article, visit the Halo Fanon Guide Manual.

Visit the rule page for the full list of rules and policies on Halo Fanon (link in the slider below). Note that other users will point out when you are breaking rules, so it is strongly recommended that you read them before you begin writing.

Greet'ns. Welcome to Halo Fanon, I'm one of the administrators on the site. As you may've noticed, a couple of the pages you created were deleted, because the content you placed on them had been copied over from Halo Nation, which shouldn't be done. This site is for original characters and other aspects of the Halo universe, as you seem to be doing on the Deception of Vince page. Most every article here is created by individual users, and is considered their work (thus our Writer template, which you should look into using at the top of all your pages). Thus, if content is copied over from Halo Nation or Halopedia, it makes it look like we're passing off their community's work as our own original content, which we don't want to be doing.

It looks like it was a simple misunderstanding in this case, as the pages you were making were all natural links from the Covenant CAS-class ship you were making. We actually have a system of linking to those pages on Halo Nation or Halopedia if a reader of your work wants to find out more about them, which saves a duplicate page and keeps them linked to the updated canon information. For Halo Nation, it would be to put [[w:c:halo:(the article's title with underscores instead of spaces, say "Covenant_Empire")|(whatever you want the link to read, say "Covenant Empire")]]. We often prefer Halopedia, however, and have a simple template for that which works the same way: {{halopedia|Covenant_Empire|Covenant Empire}}, for example.

In short, we discourage users from copying large amounts of content from other websites, as it could be construed as plagiarism, which we frown upon, so please refrain from doing so. If you have questions about how Halo Fanon works, you can have a look at our Rules page, or feel free to ask me any particular things you'd like to know. Regards, That Damn Sniper.

Greet'ns again. Since it's happened a couple of times now, you need to know you should be using the Writer templates we've put at the top of your pages. It helps everyone know whose work each page is, so please don't remove them, and use the coding {{Writer|Spartan-552}} at the top of each new page you make. Regards, That Damn Sniper.
