The United Nations (UN) is an Earth-based organization and the predecessor the Unified Earth Government. The Unified Earth Government, or UEG, eventually replaced the United Nations as the primary authority of humanity, though it too was temporarily replaced by the United Nations Space Command during the Human-Covenant War.
