The UNSC King's Vortex, hull classification symbol FFG-654 was a Paris-Class Heavy Frigate formerly utilized by the UNSC Navy. After the Human-Covenant War, she was refit to new specifications including the addition of energy shields that were slowly becoming standard in the fleet. In the aftermath of the war, the UNSC Navy underwent heavy reshuffling of its devastated forces, though the King's Vortex remained as one of the few ships left in the 27th Fleet, which had suffered up to 80% casualties during the Sol Campaign.
