The UNSC Advanced Warfare Fleet, often abbreviated as UNSCADWARFLEET or ADWARFLEET, is a special operations subdivision of the Office of Naval Intelligence Section IV. The Advanced Warefare Fleet is dedicated to high-efficiency naval activities and operations alongside the elites of the UNSC Navy. Consisting on average of seventy-five ships, the ships of the fleet often operate in groups of one to four ships.
ADWARFLEET has participated in numerous battles and operations since its formation in 2554 during the Great Civil War. The fleet's first full-length operation occured during the first years of the Second Insurrection, which was aptly codenamed Operation: FIRST FLIGHT. Occuring in a number of the outermost systems of the Second Rim, ADWARFLEET ships patrolled the area for hostiles, gathered intelligence, and delivered a number of ground assaults and assassinations over the course of three-and-a-half years.
During the Second Great War, ADWARFLEET would make great strides in its ability to conduct stealth operations alongside the coveted Prowler Corps and STEALTHWAR and contributed to the high-priority reconnaissance operations in the campaign to capture the systems under Old and New Covenant control.
