The Spectre Infantry Support Vehicle is the latest version of the Spectre, designed for use by the Swords of Sanghelios. Faster and deadlier than ever, the Spectre is used by the Swords as an attack vehicle and a transport.
Description[]
The Spectre is a well-rounded combat vehicle, built to match humanity's Warthog. Similar in design, with a driver up front, and a gun on the rear, it differs where it has a pair of jumpseats on each side of the vehicle. While lightly protected, these are used to house passengers, allowing them to quickly embark and disembark. The vehicle is relatively nimble, and has decent speed, and has a powerful rear gun, which is utterly lethal to infantry but lacks penetrating power against armour. The driver is protected by a forward mounting that raises and lowers to allow him entry and access, but if it becomes damaged, the Spectre becomes a tomb for them.
The Spectre has seen a significant upgrade, with a new biomimetic shell that matches Sangheili sensibilities in design. The Spectre has also seen incremental improvements to the engine and to the armour, devised by the best technicians at Lodam Armoury. Now free of the technocratic yoke of the Prophets, they can engineer it as they please, with no limitations to their design.
Variants[]
Sword Spectre[]
Built to the exacting specifications of the Swords of Sanghelios, the Sword Spectre has improved armour, using an armour recipe held by the Sword themselves.
Spectre Ultra[]
While the Spectre has improvements to armour, the Spectre includes improvements to the weapon as well, featuring a new cannon that fires exploding plasma bolts, capable of shredding even well-protected targets in a hail of exploding plasma bolts.
