TALK - 20:06, Sunday, August 2, 2020 (Australian Eastern Standard Time)
G'day mate. I'm just giving you a friendly reminder that this article has some serious issues that need to be worked out.
  1. From the outset, it is very obvious that this article is created from copying and pasting random elements from Halopedia's articles on the Charon-class frigate and UNSC Infinity in ways that don't make sense. It is simply not possible to fit all of the weaponry, shields, and propulsion systems of a 5.6km supercarrier onto this - the S81/X-DFR fusion drives alone dwarf the size of any frigate in canon.
    1. What I would recommend is either simply leave this with the specifications of a Charon-class frigate, with a made-up model of shield generators installed onto it to give it additional protection. Alternatively, you can try to craft a unique ship from scratch, which would still need to follow a very level of armament to known ships in order to stay believable.
  2. Given that the crew figure is taken from the Charon-class frigate, you need to know that it encompasses every person that are carried on those ships. Not just the flight crew and the sailors, but also the UNSC Marines, pilots, and ODSTs also usually embarked on these ships. Only a fraction of that number are actually there to man and operate the frigate.
    1. The 'crew' field should be kept around 250 sailors.
  3. You don't need to paste the URL to a given article here in order to generate a link. There's a button on the toolbar that can create one for you.
  4. It is not possible for a Spartan to be permanently assigned to command a ship. The main issue here is that if B159 was given such an assignment, he wouldn't be able to be deployed in ground operations because he'd be too busy trying to keep his vessel running smoothly - making his augmentations and Mjolnir utterly useless. It is not enough to simply have the rank, but you also need years of training and experience as a starship naval officer before you can be given the position - qualities that aren't going to be found in any Spartan.
    1. What I would recommend is that you choose a new captain for this ship, but you assign B159 as part of its complement. He could be considered a trusted advisor of the captain, but he won't actually have the authority to order the ship around.

I've tried to give you alternative ways to go about what you seem to want to do, but as it stands, the article is at risk of infringing on the site's Not Canon Friendly policy. At the very least, please consider what I've wrote and make some changes to the article.

While some changes have been made to the article, they've rather added to the problem than made it better by the looks. Please consider the recommendation changes below. If changes aren't made in two weeks, we'll have to move the article to user namespace.

  1. The UNSC Infinity is supposed to be the most powerful, largest UNSC warship ever constructed. Besides an incomplete sister ship called the UNSC Eternity, there should not be any ships larger than it and not comparable. The Infinity was supposed to be a one of a kind ship in the event that Earth fell, I would suggest pushing your ship further down to size to match a standard UNSC carrier scale or smaller.
  2. Your information for this ship is still just copy/pasted from the UNSC Infinity. I get it's intimidating to make your own information but giving your ship as many weapons or more weapons than the most powerful UNSC warship ever built is lore-breaking. Please scale down your ship.
  3. Your crew is way too small, the Infinity alone has 8900 naval personnel of an 18,000+ crew.
  4. A ship commander is going to be of a regular naval rank "Commander, Captain, various admiral ranks) CINC is not a rank. And the closest thing to this in the Halo, CINCONI, meaning "Commander-in-Chief of office of Naval Intelligence" is unique to the leader of ONI - currently Vice Admiral Serin Osman. I'd just recommend you rename "Dex" to Captain/some degree of admiral.
  5. A Spartan really shouldn't own a starship, they're not naval commanders.

That's the extent of my current concerns. Look them over and consider where you can make corrections. - Distant Tide: Hunter - Killer
