The Royal Empire of the Former Covenant Powers (abbreviated REC), known alternatively as the Royal Empire or the New Covenant, was the foremost Loyalist faction following the advent of the First Great War.
The Royal Empire was noticeably stronger, in terms of military quantities, than its counterpart, the Sacred Regime. However, continual civilian uproar, while easily suppressible, busied the leadership and delayed an outright invasion until the 2580s.
