Gilgamesh Free Army

Robert Fisher was a human Insurrectionist. Born in 2530 in the frontier settlement of Bluespring, then part of the Gilgamesh Free State, wanting to find a life outside of the agricultural one his family had been in for decades, Fisher enlisted in the Gilgamesh Free Army in 2548. Proving himself an able soldier, Fisher was assigned to the Free Army's Special Guard Company in 2552, assigned to provide security for Marshal Edward Garan and other high value officials or guard prisoners. During this duty, in 2553, Fisher was involved with the arrest of Major Jonathan Ulan, who was later exiled and told never to return to Gilgamesh under threat of death.

During the United Nations Space Command invasion of the Free State in 2555, Fisher and the rest of the Special Guard Company were involved in a two-day long defensive action in the Gilgamesh Free Armed Forces Central Headquarters in New Belgrade to ensure the destruction of any sensitive material in the building would be completed. Escaping GFS defeat in the Battle of New Belgrade, Fisher eventually rejoined the Gilgamesh Free Army in Operation: TIDAL WAVE, and was promoted to Sergeant in July for his actions during the Battle of New Belgrade.

On August 3rd, 2555, Fisher was grievously wounded by members of Project FREELANCER during a search-and-rescue mission that was ordered after the shootdown of several transports carrying Marshal Garan and other high-ranking GFS officials.
