"I've never considered my work humane. I haven't killed anyone, I haven't stolen anything of value, and I don't go reporting to some higher power about what kind of ice cream my neighbor is eating after a break up. That said, I've taken children's lives away for the State and I've played with people's minds in ways that who I was in college and who I am now, would not be able to see eye-to-eye. There are regrets but I've come to terms with my work. Besides, its not as bad as some other doctors."
― Dr. Reyna Zhou-Romero reflecting on her work for the Office of Naval Intelligence.
