- ―Motto of the UNSC Ragnarök
The Ragnarök-class Dreadnaught was the successor to the failed Titan-class Dreadnought. After the Titan-class was consigned to mothballing, the Ragnarök entered production. While more lightly armed compared to its contemporary, the fearsome Ragnarök was faster, outfitted with exotic sensors, and armed with new generation gravimetric armour. Generally regarded as better equipped, more popular with crews, and more reliable, these ships would go on to become one of the most important vessels of the UNSC Navy, leading key elements of the UNSC. As a twist of fate, high demand for The Raganrök lead to the surviving Titan-class, the UNSC Preston J. Cole, being refit for service, eclipsing the Ragnarök in combat performance. Even so, the Ragnarök would perform admirably on every front, forcing the Covenant to come to terms with the fact they no longer ruled the stars.

UNSC Comments
"It looks like a Covenant ship, and shielded like one too. Why didn't we have these earlier?"
"I remember when the Whitcomb got hit at Doisac, she was left a mess, crippled and broken, she never fought again. That was a single energy projector hit. This however, is no longer a problem."
