Overview
The MI-44 Battle Rifle is a fully ambidextrous, lever-delayed blowback, magazine-fed bullpup battle rifle chambered in 7.62 x 51mm. It contains an integrated light and laser suite, 40mm grenade launcher, and comes standard with an electronics system featuring an ammunition counter, chamber indicator, and status readouts for the laser/light suite, grenade launcher, and various mode selectors.
History
Development
The MI-44 was first designed by Ivan Stanislav III. on Arcadia in 2538. initially, the rifle was an improved version of the MA5B ICWS that was issued to the local Arcadia Patrol, and was commonly salvaged from the warzones of the Covenant invasion of the colony. After several iterations however, Ivan began to change more and more components of the rifle, eventually resulting in a platform that held little resemblance to the original rifle beyond it's outer frame.
