Jane Cooper (Jane-G314) is a Spartan-III who battled the Human-Covenant war near the end of it. She later volunteered and was inducted into Tango Six Operations.

Early Life

Battle of Draco III

At the age of seven, Jane and her mother were in their apartment block whenever war broke out. A large bolt of pink plasma shattered their window and obliterated the wall around it. Looking out, Jane was terrified, yet mesmerised, by the army of Phantoms surrounding a Supercarrier. Having no past experience with the Covenant and only seen Unggoy and Sangheili on TV, she found herself doing the only thing she could think of under all the stress - burrow herself in a corner and hope nothing sees her. Her mother, however, was not so lucky and was filled with needler rounds from ground forces. As the small girl began to tear up, she quickly remembered to be quiet and began to quiet her breathing and sob as little as possible. However, she was distracted and gasped as an Elite Minor slammed into the room, needler in hand. It heard her sobs and quickly turned around, holding up the needler and grabbing her by the collar. Luckily, two blue blades were thrown through it's stomach and were mere millimetres away from Jane's chest. The person who felled the Elite revealed themself to be a SPARTAN-II, Kryss-216. Jane, who was both horrified and relieved, gave Kryss a hug - or the best she could, nowhere near as high as Kryss. The Spartan simply picked her up and exited the building, quickly having to use her other arm to shield Jane's head and fire her M6 pistol at the same time in order to protect the small girl from Jackal snipers stationed on the roof. Reaching the falcons, Kryss found herself pondering upon how she would rescue Jane, eventually coming to the conclusion that the girl would have to travel on the SPARTAN's motorcycle. Boarding it, Kryss placed Jane behind her, making sure that the girl's arms were wrapped around her waist and starting the motorcycle. Numerous Unggoy fired fuel rod cannons and plasma pistols, SPARTAN-216 forced to swerve to avoid these. Reaching the evacuation point, Jane boarded the carrier and took time to reflect on the Covenant. Her mother had died, but at the same time, her life had been saved. As the carrier took off, Kryss saluted her in a friendly gesture, Jane replying with the best salute she could do. The last thing she seen of Kryss was a horde of Sangheili being felled by the shotgun.
