Italia Cantieri - meaning Italian Shipyards - is a human spacecraft building corporation. Based in Casbah City, Tribute, while having modest sales derived from defense industry it is the premier civil starships manufacturing company, having a dozen of commercial and civil vessels used by nearly every shipowner in human space.
Founded in 2421 by billionaire Renato Sanfilippo, it quickly became a renowed shipyard company, expanding itself first on New Harmony, Mars, and Taranto, Earth, then on the Outer Colony of Meridian, in the town of Avignon. Albeit suffered lost of vital assets during the Great War, its structures in Tribute and Mars were relatively left untouched, thus allowing the company to restart production and help humanity to resettle glassed worlds and those abandoned, other than to help it to relaunch trade between colonies and starting trade with other races.
