- "Ship master, three human destroyers, closing on us!"
"They pose no threat to us!.
" - ―Last words of Jarus, Shipmaster of the battlecruiser Frenzied Hunter
The Indra-class Destroyer is a destroyer classification used by the UNSC. A successor to the Halberd-class Destroyer, the Indra-class carries its legacy, with a mixture of heavy armaments, and heavier armour. The Indra-class is often used to provide escort to cruiser constellations, lending fire and air-defence, and as a hunter-killer against heavier warships.
The Indra-class packs a compact design, meant for combating enemy warships. It features heavy slopped armour along its arrow-head like nose, and heavy duty engines to the rear, and in between it packs numerous weapons, missile batteries, and defence phalanxes. While slightly smaller than the Heimdall-class Frigate, it is almost twice the tonnage, thanks to increased armour and weaponry.
Its main gun consists of twin MAC cannons in a side-by-side set up, meant for firing off rounds in quick succession. It also packs numerous smaller canons for engaging enemy warships at short-to-mid range. It also caries substantial anti-air weaponry, allowing it to act as an air-defence ship, screening larger ships with walls of anti-air fire.
The Indra uses advanced sensor packages to locate targets at range, and to track fighter and missile constellations around itself, giving it precision fire on offence and defence. While a no-nonsense and straightforward ship, it can be fitted with mission modules, such as drone packages, additional senses, and enhanced communication equipment.

Pallas-class Destroyer
The Pallas-class Destroyer was a subclass of the Indra-class. The class was aesthetically the same as the Indra-class, but had an W/AS M21A 'Tsunami' DIC replacing one of its MAC guns.
Enkidu-class Destroyer
The Enkidu-class Destroyer was another subclass of the Indra-class. Like the Pallas-subclass, it was aesthetically the same as the Indra-class, but had a pair of W/AS M21A 'Tsunami' DIC replacing both of its MAC guns.
UNSC Comments
"It looks ugly as hell, can't go very fast, just like the old UNSC Destroyer. I love it!"
"Three of these intercepted a Remnant battle cruiser a day travel out of Kanna. If this was the old days, all three would of been destroyed and the cruiser crippled but they actually destroyed it with no casualties!"
"It has an almost symbiotic nature with the frigate and the carrier. It needs the frigate's speed and the frigate and the carrier's fighter support, giving them a massive punch in return..."
