Halo Wars 2: Insurrection DLC, otherwise known as Halo Wars 2: Insurrection was a standalone expansion of Halo Wars 2, adding the Insurrectionists as a playable faction to the game along with new gameplay modes and an all new campaign. It was the first and potentially last major update to Halo Wars 2. Due to the significant amount of changes brought about by the DLC, it received a standalone albeit cheaper retail release.

Gameplay

Play Style

As a whole, the Insurrectionist Faction relied on large numbers of inexpensive units to overwhelm the opposition, nominally adopting a hit and role in the grand scheme of things. Utilizing blitz tactics to swarm the enemy, the Insurrectionist were able to hit hard with their mass of troops but can easily be outgunned in one on one confrontations with the other factions. Insurrectionist Units were generally faster than other units but suffered from a slightly lower damage output as a result. The greatest strength of the Insurrection was in the early game, provided the player is able to establish a stable economy without any disruptions from enemy attack.
