Turok 'Moram, known as Turok 'Moramee (Oracle Code S9-T12419-1513) until after the Battle of the Zenith Complex, was a Sangheili that had rebelled against the Covenant and had founded the Blood Heresy.

Background[]

The story of Turok is full of war, betrayals and alliances. He was the son of the once Arbiter Ripa 'Moramee, and his father's legacy played an important role in how quickly Turok rose in rank.

Human-Covenant War[]

Turok was a Major Domo during the Fall of Reach, however, after failing to protect the majority of his battalion (With the exception of Kerbo), and having been nearly killed by SPARTAN-B312, Noble Six, he received the Mark of Shame at the hands of the Fleetmaster, Darc 'Varmen, in the Covenant Super-Spire during the Loss of Hope. He was also condemned to fight to the death without any armor, which was basically suicide.

Instead of accepting his fate as a shamed Sangheili, he decided to join Ryder-G231's squad. For this, he was credited as the first notable Sangheili to ever fight alongside UNSC forces and to take up arms against the Covenant Empire. In doing this, he became the leader of what would later become known as the "Blood Heresy" movement.
