Originally the greatest warships of the Covenant, the Lord Urs-class Super Carrier has been adjusted by the Swords of Sanghelios. Once the CSO-class Super Carrier, these vessels are incredibly rare, and a resource worth fighting whole wars over.
The Sword only possesses three of these vessels. Once they were highly ordained vessels of the Covenant Hegemony, the Hierarch's Will, Vanguard of the Journey, and the Eternal Union. As an affront to the Covenant and it’s false gods, these ships were intentionally given profane names of Lord Urs, after the deity in ancient Sangheili pantheons, Profane Admonisher, and Avenging Sword. Refitted extensively, these missions now support the Sword on the frontlines, turning their weapons on their former masters.
Description[]
Ships of the Line[]
- Lord Urs: Named for the god of the Old Sangheili pantheon, as an intentional affront to the Covenant. It was secured at the height of the Vehovra Campaign, where Sword and Storm Covenant forces battled to earn the loyalty of the crew. Hard won by the Sword, the crew became loyal adherents, and the ship was taken back to Sanghelios to be refit. Armed with its own assembly forges, it can repair and maintain a fleet. Once equipped to recover relics of massive size, and guide missionary fleets, it instead maintains and arms fleets for battle.
- Profane Admonisher: Hard won through vicious battle, the former Vanguard of the Journey was commanded by a rogue crew, intent of forming their own empire around it. Already heavily damaged during the Schism through vicious in fighting between Jiralhanae and Sangheili crews, it was limping away when the Sword finally caught it. After a short naval battle to defeat its escorts, the Sword’s elite boarded and captured it, further damaging it. Towed back Sanghelios, it was repaired at great expense. It had to furnished with parts taken from the hulk of the Avenging Sword.
- Avenging Sword: Even the wreck of one of these vessels were considered worthy enough to wage war over. During the bitter Bloody Verge Campaign, pirates used the hulk of the Eternal Union as a safe haven, though knowledge of how it came to be this way was lost. Captured in battle, it was used to furnish the Avenging Sword. Still being rebuilt, it’s weapons and sensors are non-functional, but shielding, engines, and a newly furnished Assembly Forge allow it to act as a support vessel.
