Halo: Spartan Offensive an isometric ("top-down") shooter video game and follow-up to Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike, developed by Vanguard Games in collaboration with 343 Industries. Published by Xbox Game Studios, the game is to be released on Steam, Xbox One, Windows 10, and mobile devices.
Like previous entries in the Spartan series, Spartan Offensive's narrative uses a UNSC tactical simulator for the setting; played on an in-universe datapad or chatter device. Played by newly-minted Spartan Branch recruits, the game provides an avenue for training, familiarization, and productivity through simulated recreations of renowned Spartan missions through and after the Human-Covenant War.
New modes and activities also come with Spartan Offensive, including a multiplayer mode and a return to cooperative play. A particular selling point of the new game entry is the introduction of Spartan team personalization and gameplay elements inspired by roleplaying and turn-based strategy games.
As of current, the game has no set release date and remains without a game rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board. Some fans suggest it's in development hell, never to release.

Halo: Spartan Offensive returns to the top-down shooter scene with new, refined gameplay and activities. Battle through standalone episodes broken into action-packed missions against the Covenant, their successors, human foes, and the galaxy's great unknowns. Play as iconic Spartans from the Halo universe, return to the battles on your terms and construct a team of your very own heroes. Then turn to the multiplayer and cooperative scene, playing with friends in head-to-head combat or alongside each other for the first time from the top-down view. Earn Xbox achievements, customize your Spartan team and assets, acquire iconic Spartan heroes, complete weekly challenges, and compete with others to get leaderboard high scores or better yourself in the multiplayer arena. Take the offensive, Spartans!
