The M484 Addax Advance Mortar Carrier is a UNSC armoured vehicle. It is used as a heavy artillery piece by the UNSC Army. Well armoured, and with an advance mortar system, it can quickly turn structures, defences, and enemy positions to ash.

The gun is fixed with a twin 120mm mortar in a turret mount. This turret is fitted with its own sensor cluster for direct fire and with a Global Positioning System and SatCom uplink. The turret is mostly automated, with a Artillery Fire Control System to allow the gunner to designate a target, the ammunition, indicate the use of multiple rounds, simultaneous impact (MRSI) and fusing settings. This allows a entire battery to be remotely operated by a single gunner, designating a wide area target. The gun can also be directly operated, allowing them to be used for direct fire, either for close in defence or as an assault gun against massed enemy forces or structures. The mortar can attain 14 rounds for MRSI and fire 26 rounds in a minute. The mortar can also fire more advance guided or self-guided munitions for use against hardened positions, or armoured units. The entire gun is stabilised and mounted on recoil absorbing brackets, allowing it to resist the recoil of fire. The mortars are fed by an automated loader from loader, with twin spools for loading and internal ammunition selector. The ammunition can be reloaded by the loader internally. The vehicle also carries a turret mounted commander sight, a roof hatch, and a roof mounted PALADIN Weapon Station.
