Overview[]

The Universal Reactive Fluid Mass Dispersion Unit (URFMDU), known more Commonly as a FAT (F*** All That) Can by infantry, is a variable canister system capable of containing a wide variety of reactive fluid masses, including, but not limited to: Incendiary Chemicals, Plasma, and Toxic Gas. The canister's design in derivative of early attempts to reverse engineer covenant Type-3 Firebomb grenades.

The canister can be configured with a variety of different fuse times, which can be configured to begin either immediately upon arming, or upon contact with a hard surface. The canister is armed by pressing a plate on the bottom, then rotating the bottom of the cylinder. Armed this way, the canister will behave normally, though the canister can be modified with an additional plate on the top, which when pressed, will creating a "sticky" effect, which can be attained via different methods, depending on the module selected.

Known Variants[]

  • Unidentified Gases: Developed in 2547, the unidentified gas canister contains an unknown, and potentially inconsistent gaseous compound, and it is uncertain if the results are from different compounds, or a single solution with varied effects. Among its knows effects on humans are destructive, often fatal tissue damage to the respiratory tracts, eyes, mouth, nose, and skin. It also causes long-term problems with abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, nausea and vomiting.
  • Incendiary: Developed in 2549, the incendiary canister uses a pyrophoric alkali

metal Caesium chemical compound, the same solution used by Jiralhanae in the Type-3 Antipersonnel/Antimaterial Incendiary Grenade (T-3 A/AIG). It burns at nearly 4000°F, and bright enough that prolonged or frequent exposure with insufficient eye protection can result in permanent damage to the eye. While the grenade is designated for antimaterial use, it is known to have been used in antipersonnel roles as well.
  • Plasma: Developed in 2554, the plasma canister is filled with latent plasma,
