Directorate Bioweapon 01AZ, codenamed Daedealous Leviathan, or simply referred to as Leviathan by UNSC forces, was a series of genetically engineered bio-lifeforms that were created by the Saulosian Directorate Department of Biological Research and Development. The bio-lifeforms were semi-sentient organisms developed through extensive years of research concerning aquatic predators.
The first subject was created in a hidden research facility deep beneath Saulos' Ocean. The subject at hand was considerably larger than all the others that would come later, and thus, it was named the Leviathan Emperor. Its genetic template was then used as a basis for the later Leviathan series. The Head of the Department stressed that main purpose of the Leviathan was the subjugation/the annihilation of native aquatic species during wartime.
Biology and Appearance[]
The Leviathan series was an aquatic lifeform that was created by Saulosian Researchers for the sole purpose of aquatic warfare and inhabiting the seas of oceanic planets. The species was considerably large in length and mass respectively, being bigger than several UNSC Naval Vessels. The Leviathan Emperor was believed to be the length of a Resonation-class Carrier, a Carrier class used by the Saulosian Directorate
