The Demeter-class Agriculture Ship is a UNSC vessel class. It is used to supply colonies, the navy and armies with food supplies.
Description[]
The Demeter-class Agriculture Ship is the UNSC's food production ship for their fleets. The ship consists of four primary sections. The water section, which holds a large reservoir and purified water, which can be refilled and filtered from terrestrial or exo-terrestrial sources, the agriculture section, which has large, automated greenhouses, fed by arteficial sunlight, automated mineral dispersion and irrigated water from the internal reservoir. The third section is a large flash cloning facility that uses the excess materials from the agriculture section to produce large amounts of flash cloned meat, from various sources such as cows, chicken, various fish, Moa and other sources. The last section is an automated packaging centre that turns these either into Meals, Ready To Eat, for dispersion to forces fighting on the ground, as food supplies to kitchens and mess halls on bases or as emergency food supplies for disaster and refugee relief. The Demeter can keep forward military forces and civilians in disaster areas fed almost indefinitely.
