Initially prototyped in 2556 the D79H-TC(S) Pelican or Dropship 79 Heavy - Troop Carrier (Stealth Model) is the closest a D79 gets to being a G79 while still creating its own individual function.
Specifications[]
Stealth and Durability[]
- Ablative stealth armor skin coating for anti-radar, anti-scanner, and anti-spectroscopic systems.
- Electro Sensor Silencing (ESS) System manipulated and distorts incoming electrical signals from scanners, radar, and spectroscopic instrumentation neutralizing electro-sensor footprint.
- Six localized hard points for increased durability.
- Roll cage for greater structural integrity and conservation of crew/cargo in case of crash.
- Reactive Limited Shield System communicated with sensory equipment to determine location and moment of localized shield activation for optimal energy conservation.
Armament[]
- Wing mounted LAU-66B/SGM-151 pods recessed into wing armoring for increased anti-spectroscopic and radar silhouette.
- Dorsal turret Mounted MD Rail Gun
- Nose mounted M8C Grindell/Galilean Non-Linear Cannon
- Dual GAU-53 70mm MBHRC Auto Cannons
- Rear internal troop/cargo bay pull down turret
Painted streamline jet black and featuring six localized hardpoints and a roll cage fixture within and on the external of the Pelican the D79H-TC(S) weighs considerably more than its non-stealth counter part even before accounting for its Electro Sensor silencing system (ESS System). The model also features energy shielding, rocket pods on the port and starboard wings, a heavy cannon mounted on the roof, and a nose mounted spartan laser in between two high caliber anti-armor machine guns.
Function[]
The stealth pelican is ideal at boarding operations as it can largely go undetected by point defense systems. Espionage operations, incursion, and exfiltration of high profile agents are also ideal for the Stealth Pelican.
