"A much capable and rarer variation of the CAS, the CSO-class supercarrier represents the crown jewel of our whole Covenant fleet. A massive supercarrier alone can lay siege to an entire pathetic planet and quarantine it in less than ten cycles."
―A scholar, teaching about the supercarrier at the Covenant War Academy on High Charity.
The Nuvaar-pattern supercarrier, designated as the CSO-class supercarrier, is the largest capital ship that was developed by the defunct Covenant Empire.
Manufactured locally on Doisac, this warship is instantly recognisable as a pattern of the CSO-class. The Cauteriser-pattern supercarrier is a more rugged ship, focusing on heavy armor and firepower over mobility. It has much of the same weapons as the Nuvaar, but is significantly weaker.
The sole Cauteriser-pattern supercarrier is the Lydus Hand, which serves as massive orbital defense for Doisac. It was built to the standards of the Medural-pattern assault carrier over several years until 2557 using smuggled Covenant technology to produce a CSO-like ship. Like the Conqueror-pattern assault carrier, the supercarrier has been improved with more fearsome close-range fire power, and heavier armour.
First prototype of the CSO-class supercarrier, served as the flagship of the High Charity defense fleet, particpated in the Great Schism. Later decomissioned as a museum ship.
