The Battle of 3 Juno was a major engagement between Frieden and UNSC forces in the spring of 2167.
Aftermath[]
Juno cost both sides thousands of lives and dozens of ships damaged or destroyed, but while UNSC forces were more than capable of making good on their considerable losses, Frieden forces lacked capacity to replace their lost warships. Subsequently, Frieden forces successfully took over the entirety of the Ceres shipyards a few months later, and endeavored to force an accelerated construction program through the captured yards. While the UNSC did react to the occupation quickly, the bloody experience of 3 Juno produced an unwillingness in UNSC commanders and UEG politicians to authorize an all-out storming of the Ceres complex. The next major engagement in the Battle of the Belt would be a fifteen month siege.
