Arverni Naval Construction Company also known as ANCC, is a shipbuilding firm located on the Inner Colony of Auberlimar. Founded roughly a decade before the formal beginning of the Insurrection, ANCC was started by noted starship engineer Nicholas Léveillé, a former employee of Reyes-McLees Shipyards. After a disagreement over patent rights and salary, Léveillé left the Martian firm and returned to his homeworld of Auberlimar, taking his experience and designs with him where he founded his own small company, Léveillé Heavy Machinery, dedicated to the production of civilian and corporate vessels such as bulk freighters and personal yachts.

Despite seeing marginal success and growth, Léveillé was more interested in acquiring military contracts, and the growing rebellion in the colonies soon provided him with a chance. In the early 2490s, the UNSC Navy began a massive expansion program aimed to growing the Navy to aid in its new mission of direct combat rather than its previous task of simple patrols and anti-piracy operations. Relying on some of his old contacts from his time at Reyes-McLees, Léveillé managed to acquire several contracts servicing Navy vessels heading into and returning from the Outer Colonies. Léveillé Heavy Machinery quickly gained a reputation for quick and expedient service and grew over steadily over the decade. By the turn of the century, it was providing service for dozens of military and civilian ships at any given time. As the Insurrection continued to escalate with no end in sight, Léveillé made the decision to split his company in two. While Léveillé Heavy Machinery would remain in the civilian market, his new company, Arverni Naval Construction Company, would focus solely on his expanding military business.
