The Arrow Republic, also known as the Arrow State was an Insurrectionist state. Founded on the colony of Crystal, it became the sole government on the colony after the conclusion of the Crystal Civil War in 2540. In 2556, the UNSC returned to the colony, and the Republic, having learned from the UNSC-GFS War that conventional warfare was suicidal, withdrew its troops to the unsettled regions and abandoned data crystal mines that had been turned into safehouses during and after the civil war.
For the next eleven years, with aid from rebel intelligence agents, the insurgents waged a war of attrition.
