Andrew Edwin Dallas (Service Number: 77577-21049-AD) (Codename: SABER) was a Captain in the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers and serve as the CO of Delta-7 during the Battle of Earth. He was later conscripted into the Spartan-IV Program in 2556 due to his services in the corps and actions during the Human-Covenant War. He was then placed under the command of Logan Fhajad in Fireteam Sentinel. Later in mid 2557, Dallas and some members of Sentinel turned traitor and joined the Coalition of the New Earth Government and was given the codename SABER.

Early Years[]

Born on Earth itself to Michael and Helen Dallas, Andrew lived the life of a young and self-centered athlete. He was known as the school bully for years and enjoyed every second of it. Andrew used his physical prowess to get whatever he desired and was rather stereotypical of it.

In later years, he eventually moved on to only ruin the life of one individual, David Greyson, the "new kid". Andrew did a fantastic job at running young Greyson's life, yet he never broke him. After Andrew entered high school, his parents eventually got a divorce with Andrew living with his father who was an alcoholic and a beater. Though Andrew's life got worse, he still was known as the big man at his school. Soon enough however, Andrew and his friends began to do illegal drugs.

This eventually caught the eye of David and his friend Chris who got Dallas and his friends expelled. Afterwards, he enlisted with the UNSC Marine Crops as he saw nothing else left to do. After his graduation, Dallas joined the ODSTs and served under Sergeant Major Mako in Delta-7.

Human-Covenant War[]

"Okay you piece of shit! Let's dance!"
―Dallas to an elite

Battle of Crimson-2[]

First deployed to the colony world of Crimson-2, Delta-7 was tasked with dropping in behind enemy lines and striking at a heavily fortified location controlled by the Covenant. As the team dropped in, pelican crews followed to keep them on course and so no Covenant guns would destroy the squad. Once the team landed, Dallas and Mako led the squad into the main courtyard of the facility and engaged Covenant ground units. Dallas and Pvt. Hopkins attacked the main floor while Mako and Cpl. Rose fought jackal snipers.

Once the courtyard was cleared, the team infiltrated the main building and began to clear the main foyer. Hopkins and Dallas moved through the lower levels while the rest of the team attacked the second floor. Once the team reunited in a large courtyard area, the squad then attack mortar towers and destroyed Covenant armament. Luckily their task was able to get a majority of the area to engage them while the main assault force continued forward. Soon, the ODSTs were pinned down by heavy fire and were losing cover fast. This issue further worried the marines as Rose was shot in the knee ending his ability to fight.

As more Covenant began to merge upon them, the UNSC broke into the facility and captured or killed the remaining Covenant inside and saved the squad. Rose was then taken to a medical station nearby while his squad waited for his recovery. However, Rose was then replaced by Cpl. Sterner as Rose was too injured to fight anymore. Delta-7 was then also joined by Sgt. Quartz and Pvt. Duncan.

Siege of Amber Square[]

Delta-7 was then taken to the city of Amber Square which was currently under siege by Covenant cruisers. The UNSC navy was doing their best, but the ground game was worse with hundreds of dead civilians.

The squad was tasked with civilian evac ops and holding a stable rally point for evacuation shuttles to leave the city. Quartz, Duncan and Hopkins were ordered to find the civilians while Mako, Dallas and Sterner went to the Western Starport to get a path cleared. As the ODSTs landed at the port, Dallas noticed a nearby defense system and led Sterner to activate it while Mako led army troopers to defend the port. As the two ODSTs entered the building they went ahead and assisted the army soldiers inside trying to hold off the Covenant invaders. However, more Covenant came until the arrive of a spartan came and assisted the failing UNSC line.

Delta-5 and Delta-7 with a spartan

Sterner (with Rocket Launcher) and Dallas (left side of Spartan) with the spartan and Delta-5.

The spartan joined Dallas and Sterner who also joined Delta-5 and moved through the destroyed building. While moving through the building, the group came across Covenant snipers attacking Mako and some inbound falcons with civilian pelicans. Dallas realized he had to act fast and so, both he and the spartan charged the Covenant head on. The Covenant were all killed and soon the group reached the control station and activated the local defenses. Almost all Covenant craft in the vicinity of the weapons were shot down along with one cruiser overhead.

Afterwards the team reunited and were deployed to a nearby national park to secure the local space elevator. Once at the park, the team moved through and came across the local ranger station. When the team entered the building, Covenant patrols came into the area and spotted the ODSTs who engaged them. The team fought off the patrol until a banshee squadron came into the area. Acting on pure instinct, Dallas grabbed a Spartan Laser and opened fire on the banshees overhead. Once the banshees were destroyed, the team found two warthogs and proceeded into the park.

As the ODSTs moved through the area, they cleared out every Covenant cell possible and soon arrived at the space elevator. However, just as they got there, a Covenant cruiser came out of slipspace and weaken the structure, later destroying it with a few shots. Mako ordered a retreat and as the elevator came down, the team took cover and survived the fall. Afterwards, the team was extracted and brought to the UNSC Hammerstone.

The team was the ordered to take down a small Covenant jammer in the heart of the city blocking comms to command. The team reached the building and cleared the main landing platform. The squad then entered in an killed all the Covenant inside the main floor of the tower. However, after the jammer was disable, Elite rangers came inside and ambushed the ODSTs. While Mako and Dallas were able to make it out unscathed, Duncan got a minor wound along with Sterner, but Quartz had a broke arm thanks to a hand-to-hand fight and Hopkins was killed. The team then escaped and returned to the Hammerstone.

Battle of Winston Station[]

After the fall of Amber Square, Delta-7 was redeployed to Winston Station in order to fortified the location and defend it as ONI agents got import data on Earth. The squad was deployed outside the main entrance of the station to cut off the main Covenant attack. The ODSTs cut off the main assault and was able to block up the main entrance as more Covenant came inbound. Mako, and Duncan then defended the main gate while Sterner and Dallas used a nearby warthog to deal with the heavy armaments dropped in by the Covenant. After the permitter was secured and other marines came to the area, Delta-7 headed inside to assist the agents. The team fought off the Covenant which had gained entrance into the building prior to their lock up and cleared a path directly outside for them.

Once outside, a pelican and a falcon came in to extract both the agents and the ODSTs. Before they could leave, the ODSTs were ordered to secure the far entrance of the station and stop an incoming Covenant attack force. The ODSTs were dropped off and immanently got to work clearing the gate and defending it with turrets and rockets along with other traps they could set up. As the Covenant came, the ODSTs did everything they could to hold off the attacking forces but were pushed back towards an old hydro station. Once there, pelicans came in to suppress the remaining Covenant forces and to rescue the team.

After the pelicans picked them up, Dallas got onto a rear turret and opened fire on the Covenant while his team supported him as did another pelican. Soon the hydro station was cleared of Covenant and then Dallas and Duncan got explosives and rigged the station to blow. Once more ground units came, the two detonated the explosives and killed them all and destroyed the station. However, this did not stop the multiple Covenant aircraft coming to Winston Station and the rest of the area.

Mission to Soul Town[]

After the capture of over half the planet, the UNSC grew desperate, even with a spartan as part of the reserve units. Eventually it was decided to leave the planet, but not without necessary data on the rest of human space. Delta-7 was sent to Soul Town to retrieve this data by any means necessary. The team arrived and searched the town for any survivors, unfortunately, they only found dead bodies of both adults and children, even a few pets in the mix. The team came across a dead ONI agent who luckily still held the codes necessary for the data stored at a local ONI building.

The team entered in and downloaded all data possible, however, after about five minutes of such did an entire hive of drones appear and attacked them. The team was able to hold off the entire hive but with stood some minor injuries. After the data was downloaded, Dallas placed a small charge inside and destroyed the building effectively destroying the last of the hive. Afterwards, Delta-7 was picked up and left the planet with the rest of the UNSC.

Battle of Marlo[]

In mid 2551, Delta-7 was sent to the colony world of Marlo to investigate a down relay tower nearby an ONI watch and comm building. The team landed in a nearby town and began their search only to find nothing there. As the team continued through the town, they eventually found a platoon of Covenant forces inside and stationed throughout the rest of the area. The ODSTs engaged the aliens and proceeded on with their mission and broke the line. After the attack, Mako attempted to make contact with UNSC forces but was being jammed. Dallas, Quartz and Duncan were ordered to get moving on foot to the station while Mako and Sterner would fly to the station with a local falcon to repair it faster.

While on the ground, the ODSTs found several squads of Covenant ground forces along with some potential storage areas for them. Duncan and Dallas eventually found a few navy soldiers pinned down by Covenant snipers. After the team was cleared, all UNSC personnel were called to the station by Mako. The group took two falcons that came with the ODSTs and went to the station and assisted Mako who was struggling to defend the main gate. The group was able to make quick and easy work of the Covenant and held off the next few waves of the attacks. After the station was cleared, the ODSTs established contact with command and established a Winter Contingency protocol.

Defense of Pointe Jaw[]

After the Winter Contingency was established, a single Covenant cruiser came to the UNSC base dubbed Pointe Jaw and began their assault. Delta-7 was deployed from drop pods outside the main motor pool and began to clear the outside area. Once the main gate was cleared, the ODSTs moved into the base and trapped in the Covenant already inside the courtyard. Once the courtyard was cleared, the ODSTs were needed to clear out the surrounding Air Defense Outpost around the plateau.

Mako and Dallas would clear out the outpost while Duncan, Sterner and Quartz would assist with the local defenses. As the two ODSTs went through the different outpost, eventually they found two squads of pinned down marines who aided them on their mission. The team soon found the main defense outpost and attacked the Covenant already stationed in the area. The Covenant resistance was strong with several ghosts and revenants guarding the post. Luckily, the team was able to clear the area and reactivate local defenses.

After the main ariel defenses were brought back up online, Delta-7 was recalled back to the base immediately for necessary assistance in the upper levels. Once Mako and Dallas returned to the main base, they were met with two hunters inside the courtyard. Once the hunters were killed, the two proceeded inside the base and linked with Sterner and Quartz. The four then met up with Duncan and other ODST Team, Alpha-4. The two teams cleared out the rest of the main tower and soon the roof levels which were covered with ranger elites. Afterwards, the local ariel defenses targeted the cruiser overhead and brought it down in the valley below.

Operation: Topaz[]

Andrew Dallas; ODST hud while landing

A view from Dallas' hud while landing nearby the LZ and Corvette.

Learning of a Covenant staging area in the Emerald Desert, the UNSC launched a counterattack on the alien empire with Operation: Topaz. Though Delta-7 along with other ODST squads did not participate in the opening salvo of the battle, they were deployed come time for "Phase 2". Once Phase 2 began, Delta-7 was deployed with the 245th Battalion into the desert below to capture a Covenant Corvette and LZ at all cost. Once the teams landed they were soon engaged by heavy brute and jackal forces and pinned down several squads. However, Delta-7 was able to slip past the Covenant and gain higher ground and were able to clear path ways for other ODSTs.

Once the outside defenses were cleared, the Battalion entered into the corvette and began their operation. While going through the ship, several ODSTs were killed but the Battalion still pressed on. However, two Covenant explosives went off inside the main reactor room and caused the ship to crash land into the desert below. Luckily, the staging area was destroyed in the crash, but more than half of the 245th Battalion was killed including Mako. After all UNSC teams were picked up and called back to a main UNSC post, Duncan was reassigned to Alpha-4, leaving Dallas in command with only two others, Quartz and Sterner.

Siege of Marlo City[]

After the destruction of the last massive staging area detected by UNSC forces, the Covenant grew desperate and attacked the capital of Marlo City. Delta-7 was deployed to the city in order to assist with the local defense of the area there. The squad landed at a local army base that was currently under siege by Covenant forces. The team successfully stop the siege along with local forces and began to move into the main urban area of the city. The team was joined by a small band of marines and together began an offensive against a Covenant line. The party pushed deep into Covenant territory and was able to recapture several blocks of terrain.

Eventually the team found a group of children from a local school yard in need of medical care. Dallas sent one of squads of marines back with Quartz while he and Sterner along with the other squad keep moving forward. The team soon engaged another band of Covenant but were soon overwhelmed by the sheer force the Covenant possessed. The team were forced back to a UNSC stronghold and waited for the Covenant to attack. As they came down the street, the UNSC engaged the incoming assault. Once the attackers were dealt with, Delta-7 was reunited and returned to the main UNSC base of operations in the city.

That night, Delta-7 was sent to the Titan Industries building to take down a Covenant LZ and jammer stationed there in order to open up more ariel control. The team entered on the lower levels of the tower and began to work their way through the building, clearing out floors of Covenant and some Covenant equipment as well. Eventually the squad destroyed the jammer along with several Covenant ariel platforms and air ships. However, the team son became pinned down by Covenant forces already in banshees and phantoms and caused Sterner to get injured. While Quartz and Dallas held off the Covenant, eventually UNSC evac crews came and rescued the squad. Sterner went on and died by his injuries and Delta-7 was then joined by Pvt. Olaf, Cpl. Davidson and Cpl. Ross.

Afterwards the team was deployed to Fort Wrecker to secure the area and rescue the civilians there from a previous Covenant attack. While Dallas, Davidson and Quartz would scout out the area ahead of their landing zone, Ross and Olaf would do recon on the area and look for possible hiding places for civilians. Eventually, the team was reunited and found a brute pack searching the wreckage of the base. The team engaged the Covenant who soon took a hostage in the form of a small boy. Dallas and Olaf were able to kill the brute and save the boy who pointed them to other survivors of the assault. Olaf then began to look for an escape route while the rest of the team got the civilians out of the pit they were in.

Once the civilians were out and free, a pelican came into the area to extract everyone as the Covenant began glassing the city. Once the city was glassed, the UNSC attempted to launch another counterattack but failed and so, the planet was abandoned and Delta-7 left with the rest of the human population.

Fall of Reach[]

Arriving a day after the Siege of New Alexandria began, Delta-7 was deployed to the city in order to fight a ground game against the Covenant forces. The team arrived into the Simon Peterson Plaza and began their fight against the invading brute packs. The team was able to clear the Plaza and proceeded towards Ivory Tower Center to find a possible escape route for civilian transports. The team cleared out floors of Covenant in hopes of finding a suitable landing pad. Finally once the team reached the executive floor, they were able to use the floor's landing pad for an evac strip. Once a safe zone was established, Delta-7 led the UNSC personnel and civilians to the area and got everyone inside of a pelican.

The team was then assigned to the Botanical Gardens in Sector 12 of the city. Once inside the gardens, Delta-7 met with local law enforcement, Alpha-6 and other marines preparing to charge a Covenant control building in the area. The soldiers were able to take back the gardens' main Covenant stronghold and move through the rest of the area. Dallas then led Delta-7 into the main garden center and began to clear out the enemy stronghold. After the gardens were cleared, Dallas and the other UNSC personnel fortified the location and used a nearby defense grid to guard the road by the gardens. The team stayed in the area for two more days until finally being evacuated after a large attack force came into the city and glassed an area right by them.

Mission to Sword Base[]

Delta-7 (Image 2)

After the team escaped from New Alexandria, they were deployed to Sword Base to assist with the torch and burn op by Noble Team. The team was deployed to the permitter of the base and was ordered to secure its far East Side. The ODSTs moved through the Covenant territory swiftly and was able to retake a few minor locations of the outside base defenses. Soon, Dallas made the decision to enter the base with his squad to assist in local clean up. As the team entered the main courtyard, they were ambushed by Covenant snipers, but were able to eliminate them. The squad also came under attack by other Covenant ground units but were assisted by Noble Team. Afterwards, Noble ordered the ODSTs to leave and soon, the UNSC withdrew from the area, and Delta-7 left the planet onboard the Hammerstone.

Battle of Earth[]

The team was deployed to capture a Covenant outpost stationed on a few islands outside the city of New Mombasa and to do so with relative ease and efficiency. The team landed in the heart of the main base camp and were overwhelmed by the sheer forces of the Covenant had stationed there. Luckily both Dallas and Quartz were able to destroy some fuel cells of the Covenant and cleared the main area. Delta-7 then moved to a small area of the main land to capture a Covenant Navy Camp located there. The ODSTs were joined by Recon Team Charlie led by Gabriella Gordon, Alexa Matthews and Cassy Arnold. Together both squads were able to capture the camp, but not stop the other stationed drop ships from leaving. Yet they still destroyed the entire fortress and were soon picked up. Afterwards, Arnold joined the marines and the squad and became the latest member in Delta-7.

Battle of Voi[]

Delta-7 was deployed to Voi to  to secure the city's heart and rip the Covenant from it. The ODST team also had to make sure that the Covenant didn't escape as any more forces towards the outskirts would make it harder for the forces to punch a hole in Covenant defenses. The team made it through Covenant stations and secured three LZ's for addition marine forces and allowed a total control of the area.

Spartan-IV Career[]

"I am better than you now!"
―Dallas to a doctor.

After the end of the war, both Cassy and Andrew joined the Spartans and joined Fireteam Sentinel with Logan Fhajad and Matthew Sabjoi. Dallas was given the rank of leader of the team and was assigned to the Hammerstone for their missions.

Battle of June[]

Arriving on the surface of Luna, Fireteam Sentinel was tasked with the elimination of a small cell of insurrectionist. The team landed nearby a colony city of Riker and began their search. Eventually the spartans located the insurrectionist and found an entire base full of explosives and readying for battle. Dallas decided a charge would be necessary and so, he Sabjoi and Arnold all charged in with Fhajad giving them some support along a ridge line. Fhajad then joined the attack per Dallas' orders and soon the squad was surrounded and captured. Though the spartans were stripped of armor and weapons, they were able to escape thanks to both Fhajad and Dallas quick thinking.

After the escape was made, the team recovered their armor and weapons and went to the motor pool and main armory. The team had placed dozens of explosives and other ways to destroy the machinery. As the spartans fled, they were persuade by dozens of insurrectionist until the charges went off and the base was destroyed. Afterwards, Dallas was removed as squad leader due to his terrible tactics and was replaced by Fhajad.

Coalition of the New Earth Government[]

"I'm not doing this for the greater good, I'm doing this because I fucking can!"
―Andrew Dallas

Sometime in 2557, Dallas along with Sabjoi and Arnold came under Coalition propaganda and then agreed to join the organization. They got into contact with General Stewart and were accepted. The team was then assigned to take a mission in a Coalition planet where they would officially join.

Assassination of Sentinel[]

Once the team arrived on Agnes-5, they moved towards the capital in hopes of taking out whoever was in control at the time. Once the team entered the capital they noticed how it was abandoned and practically a ghost town. Once the team reached the capital building they were surrounding by both Connor Stewart, Patrick Irons and dozens of firing squads. As Fhajad readied his weapon to fire, Dallas gave the order and both Arnold and Sabjoi turned and attacked Fhajad. Once his shields were broken, Dallas explained himself and the actions of the team, then proceeded to kill Logan Fhajad and joined the Coalition of the New Earth Government.

Battle for the Village[]

Stationed on the cruiser, Star Lord, Dallas was sent into the space station known as the Village in hopes of capturing it for the Coalition by any means necessary. Dallas was sent in with a small group of Coalition soldiers and entered in Hanger Bay 5-A to reinforce the small group there already. As Dallas emerged out of his ship, he locked eyes with the leader of the UNSC in the area, took out his machete and went to work. He was able to kill several UNSC marines before locking eyes with the ODST. While they fought, Dallas placed charges all along the permitter of the room without the ODST known. Soon however, Dallas straggled and killed the ODST and detonated all the charges, destroying the hanger and crippling the station.

By using his new mag-boots, Dallas watched as members of the the UNSC were pulled into space except one ODST. Before Dallas could kill him, a pelican carrying Sabjoi and Arnold came and picked him up. Afterwards, Dallas and his team went to the lower anti-grab projector and used a lower hatch to get back inside the station. Once inside, the spartans deactivated the stabilizers and escaped, watching the station fall to deep space and escape pods flee the area.

Battle of Sydney[]

Accompanying Patrick Irons to Sydney for "peace talks", Dallas and his squad along with dozens of other Coalition cover agents infiltrated local UNSC defenses and began a takeover from the inside. However, Dallas soon learned of a possible team willing to take him down and so, Dallas took to action. While driving down the highway, Guardian was engaged by SABER and a squad of Insurgents.  Drake provided cover from the bridge above while Gordon and Greyson evacuated the civilians and engaged SABER. After being wounded by the ex spartan, Gordon went to cover while Greyson engaged SABER.  After a brief fight, Greyson learned the identity of SABER, his long time high school enemy, Andrew Dallas.  Drake tacked the rogue spartan and Gordon shot him but still Dallas was able to escape leaving Guardian confused and scarred.

Avery Class Takeover[]

A few hours later, Guardian met the other rogue spartans Matthew Sabjoi and Cassy Arnold and engaged them.  Escaping, the rogues dropped some intel that three new Avery Class Heavy Cruisers was hijacked by the Coalition.  Gathering targeting data, the Coalition planned to attacked and kill all of Sydney.  Luckily, ONI had a contingency plan, using codes to have the auto turrets change targets from the city to the other ships.  The spartans of Guardian were sent to stop the cruisers by using the codes and kill all insurrectionist on board and arrest the rogue spartans.  Todd and Drake boarded the UNSC Thoraces, Gordon the UNSC New Century and Greyson the UNSC Avery.

Three V. Four []

Drake and Todd were successful but were engaged by a large insurrectionist group led by Sabjoi, who Drake engaged in a fist fight but was beaten.  After Drake was on the ground Todd used her Sangheili training and knocked out Sabjoi.  Gordon was also successful but as she exited the control hub, she was attacked by Arnold who used a prototype Human Energy Sword designed by ONI.

Entering the control hub. Greyson was also attacked by Dallas who also wielded an Sword, and thus Greyson pulled out an electric baton and the two began to duel.  After and intense fight, Greyson was able to replace the targeting data with the codes and shoved Dallas into the waters below.  The ships began to fire upon each other killing several insurgents but luckily, Gordon was also able to kill Arnold by stabbing her in the thought after an equally intense duel.

Finale []

The ships were brought back to the ground below and the surviving Insurgents were arrested along with Sabjoi.  After interrogating the rogue spartan, he relieved that their was a complex on Luna holding his CO, Colonel John Fenix and thus Guardian was redeployed.

Battle of Luna []

Arriving on Luna []

After the leader talked, Fireteams Guardian, Crimson, and Switchback were deployed to the surface of Luna to confirm the sightings.  Arriving on Luna, the teams made their way towards an old research facility used during the Human-Covenant War.  Finding plenty of Insurgents, Greyson took command and ordered a three pronged attack on the facility.  Capturing two scorpions the Fireteam Switchback led the distraction while fireteams Crimson and Guardian entered the complex.

Raid on Luna []

Fireteams Guardian and Crimson entered the station only to find themselves attacked by Insurgents.  Ordering Crimson to find another way around, Greyson and the rest of Guardian engaged the Insurrectionist.  Taking cover from turret fire Guardian went to action, first eliminating the turrets then opposing snipers.  Greyson and Todd then pushed up forcing the Insurrectionist back.  While this was happening, Crimson was downloading all data on the area whilst Switchback eliminated the outside defenses.

Fireteam Guardian then entered the command center and arrested the leader Colonel John Fenix.  Just before however, Dallas had returned and survived with a few scars.  Hoping to finish what he had started, Greyson engaged Dallas and two dueled.  As they dueled, Fenix broke free and attacked the rest of Guardian.  After another intense fight, both Fenix and Dallas died by a bullet and a knife to the face respectively.  Switchback and Crimson reported that the station was cleared and most surviving Insurgents had surrendered.
