"It's hopeless to think you beat them at their own game. These insurrections are nothing to them but a mosquito buzzing around their head. There's no need to kill the Oonkies, all you have to do is cut their aorta and watch them bleed to death on their own worlds, begging for mercy."
―The Agrobelt became a frequent target by various factions during the Insurrection.

The Agrobelt or the Yawenian Slipspace Corridor is a trade route and one of two slipspace tacks discovered to exist within human space. About fifty-four percent of all human agriculture comes from the Agrobelt, making it one of the most strategically important slipspace routes for humanity. The belt connects a large number of Outer Colonies together, forming a snaking pattern that extends across the outer colonies and ends deep into the Inner Colonies.

Scientifically classified as a "slipspace corridor", it was first discovered by astrophysicist Amani Yawen during her astronavigation surveys in 2389 that focused on discovering reliable slipspace routes and experimenting on bypassing the peculiar topology of the slipstream, that made traveling between colonies a lengthy and frustrating endeavor. When analyzing a slipspace anomaly discovered near the edge of the Theta Mensae system, Yawen discovered what would later be called a "slipspace tack", an anomalous tunnel-like structure that intersects with the slipstream's non-spatial dimensions, providing an avenue for human ships to cross without drastically increasing its time spent traveling in the slipstream. Exploration of this tack yielded results that would become greatly beneficial to the discovery and colonization of many fertile and resource-rich outer colony worlds. Colonies that were founded along this tack would later meet during the first pent-annual Colonial Trade Conference (CTC) in 2410 on Tribute to discuss the signing of a treaty that would officially establish the Agrobelt.
